Ardmore Beach is in the county of Waterford. Life guard is present at bathing season. Toilets and parking lot near the beach. Dogs aren't permitted on the premises. Guests with disabilities can access the beach. Public buses
Ardmore is a gently sloped sandy beach, flanked by two special conservation areas: Helvick Head and Youghal harbour. This region supports diverse wildlife. The beach offers activities like swimming, surfing, body-boarding and kayaking. While the beach is 1 km long, the designated 500m long and 100m wide bathing area is perfect for low tide fun.
In addition to swimming, surfing, body-boarding and kayaking are popular activities at Ardmore. There is an outdoor activity centre operating at the beach during the summer period.
Ardmore Beach is located on the south coast of Ireland immediately east of from Ardmore village. The beach lies within the coastal body of the South East River Basin District. While the beach is 1 km long, the designated bathing area is approximately 500 metres long and 100 metres wide (at low tide).
Ardmore is a sandy beach with a gentle slope down to the low water mark and beyond. The tidal range is medium and approximately 75% of the beach is covered at high tide. At the western end of the beach, between the beach and the boat harbour, low tide gives access to numerous rock pools which are home to a variety of plants and animals such as shrimp, crabs, small fish and anenomies.
