Tragumna is located in the county of Cork. Life guard is present at bathing season. There are restrooms and a parking space nearby. Dogs must be on a leash at all times. The beach is accessible to guests with disabilities.
Tragumna Beach is a serene, sandy beach situated on the north-east side of Tragumna Bay. It faces the south/south-west direction and has a gentle slope. The beach is protected by Drishane Island, which adds to its tranquility. It is located adjacent to the Lough Hyne Nature Reserve & Environs, a Special Area of Conservation and a proposed Natural Heritage Area (SAC, pNHA 000097). Additionally, it falls under the Sheeps Head to Toe Head Special Protection Area (SPA 004156). The beach is only utilized by a limited number of small boats.
Life guards are on duty during the bathing season, times of attendance are shown on the local notice boards. The lifeguard station is located near the walkway onto the beach. The lifeguards provide emergency first aid services. The beach is used by limited numbers of small boats.
Tragumna Beachis located at Tragumna village, a small coastal resort, approximately 6km south of Skibbereen in west Corkin the north east ofTragumna Bay. The beach is small but popular. TragumnaBayis in the Western Celtic Sea Coastal Water Body (Waterbody Code SW_010_0000). The bathing area is approximately 150m long, & is approximately 0.011km2 in area.
